ABOUT BECAUSE INTERNATIONAL

Because International’s mission is to alleviate poverty by distributing impact products and supporting product-focused entrepreneurs. Our first product was The Shoe That Grows, a shoe that expands five sizes and lasts for years. To date, over 400,000 pairs have gone to kids and families around the world and it’s being produced in Kenya—bringing jobs to one of the countries where The Shoe That Grows is distributed most.

Now we’re taking what we’ve learned from developing a manufactured product and sharing this knowledge with entrepreneurs who have their own ideas for innovative products. The Because Accelerator is a completely online program that helps entrepreneurs take their products to the next level through training, coaching, networking and funding. We want to help local leaders create local jobs and elevate their communities.

ROLE OBJECTIVE 

Our goal is to distribute 1 million pairs of The Shoe That Grows by the end of 2030. This position will play a key role in cultivating existing partnerships and creating new relationships to secure large ($20k+) sales of The Shoe through organizations and individuals.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • - Create and execute a strategic sales and communication plan and provide world class customer service and     support to our key account customers and partners.

  • - Build a key account pipeline and establish new accounts.

  • - Communicate with team members regarding inventory and projections for future orders. 

  • - Manage key account applications and sales through website portal.

  • - Regularly update and manage data in Salesforce.

  • - Other duties as needed, including monthly reporting on activity.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Performance will be measured by:

  • - Achieving overall agreed-upon revenue goal

  • - Number of new customers and partner relationships 

  • - Development and execution of sales and communication plans

  • - Regular and timely reporting, including updating Salesforce to reflect communication plan actions

  • - Management of process, deadlines and budget

  • - Stewardship of the mission, goals and values of the organization

TEAM

This role will work alongside members of the Growth Team to support the mission of Because International. Growth Team roles and expertise include digital marketing, graphic design, written and visual storytelling, donor relations, mid-level sales and customer support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or related field

  • - 3+ years of experience and a proven track record in a sales or account management role

COMPENSATION

  • - $65,000–$75,000, with room to grow

  • - Flexible PTO

  • - Medical and dental insurance available

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • - Based at our Nampa, Idaho office

  • - Hybrid schedule with virtual/WFH days

  • - Some travel (2–3 weeks minimum) required annually
