Purpose: The Ambassador Committee is the face of the Nampa Chamber of Commerce (NCC.) This highly visible group of volunteers acts as the official goodwill greeter between the Chamber and our current and prospective members. Ambassadors help to create a positive experience for all members through nurturing relationships and reinforcing the benefits of belonging to the NCC.
Guidelines for Involvement: The Ambassadors are a group of NCC members who generously donate their time each month to participate in various Chamber activities, promote new membership and nurture existing members. Applicants are expected to have a genuine desire to promote the Chamber, its vision and commitment to improving the economy and quality of life in the community.
Role of Ambassadors:
- Provide volunteer assistance at monthly luncheons, ribbon cuttings and events, such as registration, greeting, seating and set up/cleanup.
- Educate new and existing members about the services and benefits of their membership.
- Foster new member engagement in Chamber programs, events and committees through providing a warm and inviting experience at all Chamber functions.
- Expand community knowledge of the Chamber and its vision.
- Welcome members and guests at Chamber activities and events.

- Discounted cost at Chamber functions where you’re actively volunteering.
Member Retention Program: Each year, Ambassadors may be asked to participate in a one-day “Member Blitz” to thank all chamber members for their participation in the Nampa Chamber. Additionally, each month, the Ambassadors will be asked to contact (personal visit or phone call) one or two members to thank them for their membership. The monthly calls will be to “at-risk” members who could potentially drop their membership.
Ambassador Selection Process: Ambassadors are selected through an application process. Applicants are evaluated on application info, professionalism and Chamber involvement. To be considered the following prerequisites must be met:
- Meeting with the Ambassador Chair.
- Meeting with the Chamber staff.
- Active participation in the Nampa Chamber for at least 1 year.
- Attend at least three different types of Chamber events.
