Nampa's Taste of Idaho is the premier kick-off event for our Fall programming, celebrating the harvest with live music, networking, and fantastic food prepared by local favorites. This tradition stems back to the early 1900s with Nampa's Harvest Festival, a street fair organized by a group of ladies. It featured local farmers selling their produce, poultry, and more in downtown Nampa, along with music, games, and activities for families. In 1913, a bronco-bucking contest was added.
In 2015, the Nampa Chamber of Commerce established a committee to revive this tradition, renaming it "Taste of Idaho" while continuing to celebrate the local harvest. The festival's menu is carefully planned, using locally sourced ingredients from partnering organizations from the Treasure Valley and Idaho. A beer and wine garden was added to highlight offerings from local wineries and craft breweries.
For 2024, we've selected a new menu, a new location, and the addition of a few surprises to keep our guests entertained throughout the evening.
